Test Drive!
Sunshineverse | ||||
Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application.

Konayuki Itezora | Katanagatari | ????? kakashi's village ???? wherever that is???????
No but seriously she had no idea the Land of Fire was so large. Fortunately, she remains undaunted, pushes her backpack further up her shoulder, and patters over to the nearest person with metal on their face.
Hitai-ate. That's the word. She thinks. ]
Um! Excuse me! Might you be able to tell me where Uncle Kakashi lives?

/pinches those cute cheeks
[ Oh my goodness, what a cutie. A strange looking little cutie. So much so that she just has to take a moment's pause. Cuz believe you/me, Tenten knows strange. ]
Oh... hello.
[ Granted, Konoha was a big place as far as villages went. But still, Tenten can't for the life of her remember ever seeing this little one running around. Where are your parents? D: ]
Who were you looking for?

[ And. Well.
That is definitely an accurate description of his hair, if it's the guy she's thinking of. But really. There's only one Kakashi she knows of. And he definitely had a 'plate like that' and 'hair like this.'
She can't help but smile at it, doing her best to stifle a chuckle, kneeling down to be somewhat eye level with this precious snow baby. ]
And how do you know Kakashi-san?
no subject
I found him in the snow. [ This is her absolute story and she will always tell it like that. ] He said he'd come and fetch me, but that was four days ago... so I came to find him instead, as a surprise!
But the land down the mountain is much bigger than I imagined. [ Whoops. ]
no subject
[ Must've been some recent mission, if it was four days ago. Up north, likely, if snow was involved. And mountains. ]
I bet he was thankful that you found him. [ Frowns, just the smallest bit, more in sympathy to this little cutie than anything else. ] But that wasn't very nice of him to leave you all alone for so long.
[ And yes, well. The shinobi nations were kinda big. How this girl managed to make the travel on her own... Impressive indeed. ]
I bet you had to walk for a long time to get here. Are you hungry? Tired?
no subject
He had to get, um, documents? Because I come from the mountain. [ MORE IMPORTANTLY. ] What might your name be?
no subject
[ Not about the mountains bit. But it was good to have her suspicions confirmed, somewhat, either way. And it was nice to know that Kakashi had not purposely left the poor thing out in the cold mountains all by herself without a reason. Paperwork tended to take a while to fill out and properly signed by the right people.
And this little ball of cute did not quite seem like the all too patient sort. All the same, that'll definitely earn the little snow baby a bright smile from the Panda-chan~ ]
But forgive me, where are my manners? [ Shifts to sit on her knees and give a proper bow in greeting, mindful to keep their eyes relatively leveled at about the same height. ] My name is Tenten. And what would yours be?

To foster a closer relationship between Kiri and Konoha, right. It sounded to him like Konoha wanted to be rid of the brat, otherwise why send her to him? In what world would sending a kid to Kiri's Monster seem like a good choice for the kid's welfare?
The scroll said his new... charge was resilient and had a water nature, and had picked up a very impressive sword from somewhere, but there were plenty of better choices for preliminary training. Resilience was one thing, but this kid wasn't a Hoshigaki, and didn't Hatake know their clan lived under the lake?
But Kisame didn't shirk from duty. If this turned out poorly it wouldn't be because he'd failed. He'd pen a strongly worded protest back to Konoha at the first opportunity.
With a sigh, Kisame stepped out through Kiri's gates to meet his new shadow for... however long. This was going to be a stressful mission.
"You the kid I'm supposed to train?" Babysit was probably the more accurate term.
no subject
Still, the smile and eager bow he received were right back up there with the first comparison, so the image might be harder to shake.
"I'm Konayuki of the Itezora. Might you be Hoshigaki Kisame-san?"
no subject
The kid herself, on the other hand, seemed just the kind of innocent Kisame had brutally assassinated time and again. He was seriously questioning the sanity of the people who'd signed off on this. But there would be time for that later. He shook the thought away and plastered a ...less than intimidating smile on. He hoped. It'd been so long since he'd tried not to frighten any and all comers.
"I am. Come on Konayuki-kun; you're to be settled in first, and then we'll see where you are, skill-wise."
He didn't wait for a response, obviously expecting the girl to follow--and he wasn't going to take the "offer" of her staying in the guest quarters. That was poor hospitality, and Kisame didn't want the extra headaches of the clan's disapproval on top of whatever ones he got from just taking care of the kid.

"Is it always this foggy? What sorts of animals do you hunt?" And as they moved through into a larger portion of the village, "Ah, Kisame-oniisan, would you know how many people live here? I thought most of the ground-dwellers lived in Fire, but there are just as many here!"
no subject
"Yes, and it's fishing more than hunting here. And for how many people, eh, hundreds? I'm not involved in census-taking."
Kisame knew the exact answer, but that wasn't information readily shared with the public, so quiet on that part he remained. They were walking through a street that had water flowing down the center, and a few restaurants here and there. Which, well, Kisame remembered being small and hungry all the time.
"We can stop for something quick to eat if you're hungry."
no subject
Food got her attention again, predictably. He was good at this.
"Really? Is that okay?"

does the thing......
Kakashi's name caught his attention though and he peered down at the child, blinking at the sheer amount of fluff they seemed to be made of and eyed what seemed to be an alarmingly heavy pack for such a small figure.
"Uncle- Wha? I uh, how do you know of Kakashi, if you don't mind me asking?"
He wasn't about to give away a location until he knew more about the child, but that didn't mean he had to be rude, as they seemed peaceful enough.

Well that explained where this little one would know him, but living in the village? That was news.
He shifted the weight of the paper bags in his arms and looked at the girl properly as he answered "Is he expecting you?"
no subject
"I'm going to surprise him. Ah, you're carrying a lot. Might I help?"
