Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. The stare-down between Gaara and the eagerly hopping puppet didn't last nearly as long as he felt it did, because before long, he was arranging his arms beneath Takumi to avoid tangling any of its strings. The venomous spikes and traps were less of an issue; he'd seen the puppet in action enough that he knew he'd been shown at least half of its capabilities, and that was more than enough that he could hold onto it without triggering anything too violent or expensive. Its limbs were another matter, but it wasn't too much trouble to have wooden claws scraping over sand with the sounds of a chalkboard.

When Kazue began reading a scroll large enough that it could only contain Socchan, he moved to hold Takkun more securely. Just in case she wanted to reattach his threads to the larger tanuki to conserve chakra.

Also because Takkun was doing its level best to hit him in the ear with its tail. Two sets of eyes watched Kazue work, one attached to a wriggling puppet and the other set calm and evaluating. The third set's owner was sleeping.

"What's wrong with your current compounds..?"

"They're efficient, but there's always room for improvement," Kazue replied as the larger puppet was produced from the scroll and came to stand -- no, sway -- as though groggy once her strings found their appropriate place. Had she realized how much she sounded like her mother in that moment, she may very well have snickered. "My goal is to make jounin within the year. I don't want to leave room for error. There are a couple of different compounds I've been meaning to finish that require these materials, too."

She didn't have any plans to allow herself to grow lax in terms of her compounds or performance, after all. Some puppeteers might have relaxed their control on the first puppet, but Kazue held both, Takkun himself relaxing slightly in movement as Socchan went through the motions of stretching and, frankly, nagging his puppeteer for 'waking' him. The sealed scorpions were regarded for mere seconds before he moved to gobble them up all too happily, a retest of certain recent tune-ups. A paw found his stomach after the fact, Kazue assessing his movements carefully.

Takkun, on the other hand, turned his eyes up at Gaara and slowly moved a paw up as though to pat his face or wave his paw beneath it one. Eyes on him, please! Please!
