Sunshineverse | ||||||||
Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application.

Gekkou Hayate | Naruto | Konoha
Really. Bandits. It was almost insulting and nearly embarrassing.
Then again, low on chakra and tired in the early-morning twilight, he'd had to rely on very little but his own fast footwork and fighting instincts. He was fast, but ten to one just weren't good odds, even for a tired ninja. The one with the naginata had been very good, too.
Hayate walked down the village street and smiled, because he was home and it was good to be home.
Hayateeee~
One his way he passed another tired looking soul, a ninja not too much older than himself. It was easy to tell Hayate had just gotten back. Itachi bobbed a bow to the man he still considered his elder.
"Welcome back, Hayate-san."
Itachiiiiiiiii~
Hayate's voice roughened, throat itching. He cleared his throat and muffled a cough behind his hand. It had been a while sinc he'd last seen Itachi...close to a month since their paths had crossed last. Their talents were so disparate they did not often run missions together: when they'd been younger that was how they'd met, on border patrol for a stint of a few weeks. Now, with Itachi's talent so far above and beyond Hayate's, they only managed the occasional meeting now and then.
Such as now.

"Well enough. I still have all my limbs. Have you been gone lone?" Itachi paused. "Mah, don't let me keep you. You must be tired."
no subject
He nodded to the sealed packet in Itchia's hands, but he could read the hours of work in the ink-smudges on Itachi's pinkies, the slight hunch to his shoulders, and the squint-lines pinched into his forehead and around his eyes. Itachi probably needed reading glasses, or would soon, but Hayate wasn't sure how to suggest it. An Uchiha's eyeballs were a delicat subject at times.
no subject
"Where are you going? I need to drop this off with Kenji-san." Maybe they were going to same way.
no subject
"And paperwork for you is always hard work." He knew Itachi liked to be doing, rather than sitting.
Hayate unwrapped the second candy and popped it in his mouth; the honey soothed his throat and the sugar would give him a little extra boost in energy. It was a small thing, but sometimes that was all that was needed.
no subject
Itachi fussed the plastic of the candy open. "Border Patrol again?"
no subject
Intimidate and take notes, come home and write a report, continue on with life as usual. It was not a mission to make note of, and even the bruised ribs and cut on his shoulder would soon fade. He walked with ease, carefully adjusting his long-legged stride so Itachi would not have to hurry to keep up.
no subject
"Ah." Itachi looked at Hayate. "Did you threaten them with a plague?" Honestly, Hayate should count as a biological weapon. When he was in full allergic swing, he sounded near to death,
no subject
"I was a silent presence of danger." He cleared his throat again, but the faint rasp, a roughening of the edges of his voice, never truly went away. "As befitting a true shinobi."
The answer was only slightly mocking, an attempt to provoke another one of those little smirks from Itachi.
no subject
"I see."
NOT A STORK. TENGU. TENGU!
Itachi, who looked like a slender porcelain doll, all fine-boned limbs and thick eyelashes in a narrow little face. The long ponytail didn't help much. Hayate had seen him fight, though, sparred with him hand-to-hand, and knew Itachi's looks said nothing about his strength in a fight.
No ninja's appearance did, to be honest.
STORK
"Better to be a silent menace then try to speak ad have your voice break." Itachi clacked the candy against his teeth. "The ANBU mask does most of the intimidation."
TENGU HAVE LONG LEGS TOO.
He tipped a little crooked grin at Itachi, cheerfully.
QUACK QUACK
...storks don't quack....
Hwoark hwowark!
XD Good job~

Because sometimes, he honestly felt that they needed to hear those things.
Usually right before he had to start yelling at lazy individuals that didn't bother to fill their reports out right.
Even so, when he caught sight of the next person stepping up to the mission's desk, he flashed a friendly grin, bright as can be.
"Hayate! Welcome back - wow." He paused mid-sentence to eye his friend critically. "You alright? You look a little... ah... tired..."
no subject
He was tired, yes, and definitely ready to go home and have a nice shower and a very good long soak in a hot bath, but he was alright. Just tired, a little low on chakra, and a little bruised around the edges. Nothing that wouldn't heal.
no subject
And then he frowned up at the tired man in question.
"...Funny. You list injuries on here, but there's nothing indicating you've received treatment."
In other words, don't think he's going to let you off the hook with the medics that easy. Friend or no.
no subject
Well, okay, so that gash on his shoulder probably needed a stitch or two, but Hayate had bandaged it up neatly at it'd be fine. And the medics wouldn't really do anything about the ribs except give him a pain-blocker and send him on his way. And remind him to breathe deeply and cough. Nothing Hayate didn't already know or couldn't take care of at home anyway.
"Besides, I wanted to get my report turned in first." The very picture of a dutiful ninja, see?
no subject
"Is where, Gekkou-san?"
Double warning. Out with it, shinobi.
no subject
See, he needed to leave. And rest. Come on Iruka, stamp the cursed paper already.
no subject
"Which you'll get after swinging by to have a medic look at it, bandaged or not, right?"
no subject
no subject
"Well! It's a good thing my shift just ended. Guess I can walk with you there. Wanna pick up something to eat after so you don't have to worry about cooking?"
See this innocent look? It's because he's pretty sure Hayate was going to skip right on past the hospital if left to his own devices and Iruka was tired of his friends not treating themselves properly.
no subject
Hayate just smiled at his friend, because yeah it was pretty much impossible to escape now. And he was so not buying that look. Iruka trying to look innocent meant "something is up." And as Hayate was currently the recipient of that look, he knew exactly what.
He unwrapped the candy, popped it into his mouth, and resigned himself to staying awake an extra two hours.
"I would hate to take up too much of your time," he said, perfectly politely.
