Okay everyone, it's time to test some people out! The rules of the game are simple. You have a character you would like to try out as a native to the setting of this game. You want to see if this is the right setting to play said character in, right? Well, then all you have to do is drop them into this post as a top level comment with this as the header: Character name | Series (OC's just put Original here) | Planned Village Affiliation Then you comment around and play with everyone else! If you need some ideas on how to get started, you can drop your character in during the middle of a mission, have them at an eatery around their village, or maybe even just doing weapons practice. It's up to you how you want to set out, so feel free to put your characters in this version of the Naruto universe however it most seems appropriate. Just be sure to say where you put them somewhere in your post though, otherwise two people might not even be threading in the same country. One last thing! Remember that your character was born in this universe, so whatever else you decide, your character is a world native, even if they might be a tourist in the village you decided to test them out on. And that's it. Just be good to each other and have fun! Threads you do here can count toward future activity checks, so long as the person you're threading with gets in too. These threads can also be used for samples on your application.

It's alright. I'm used to funny looks anyway. It sort of happens a lot when you're from Kiri.
[She wasn't going to pretend she didn't know her village's reputation, after all.]

[Luckily the building isn't too large, but with her office on the third floor, it does mean hiking up the stairs. When they get to the office door, she opens it right up to a room with a view of the ocean and some of the first village's ruins. Bookshelves line two walls, crammed with various books, scrolls, and boxes. On her desk, several framed pictures face her seat and a stack of papers sit in a tray off to the side. Behind her desk are two small hanging wall scrolls. One with the Uzumaki Clan's signature spiral, the other a unique seal
kunai not included. She gestures to one of the chairs in front of the desk as she settles back into hers. She'll wait for Ava to sit before saying...]So, what's this package you've got for me?
no subject
[Keeping on edge meant things were made clear almost immediately as she stepped into the room with Kushina. Promptly, she practically scurried over to the chair and sat up straight.]
Well... The person who paid wanted to keep it anonymous. [She removed the pack that was around her shoulders and set it down on the floor in front of her.] It was a scroll.
[Apparently their client had roots back to Uzushio, although Ava hadn't really inquired too deeply. (No guarantee her superiors hadn't of, course.) Either way, she pulled the box out from the pack and held it out. This meant having to lean a bit from her chair so that it was over the desk, but at least she tried.]

[She had been through Kirigakure the year before, taking time out of the village to seek out any Uzumakis that might have fled there years ago. She nods her thanks as she takes the box and slides it open. She carefully removes the seal before unrolling it.
Kiri's client had family originally from Uzushio. Her brow furrows as she studies their inquiries and requests. Maybe something could be arranged for them. Kushina digs around for a blank scroll and quickly writes up a reply. She seals it up and slides it in the box the original arrived in.]
If you could deliver this back to your client, I'm sure they're looking forward to an answer, right?
no subject
Yeah, I should probably get back home soon.
[Keyword: probably]
[While glad to have completed her mission, Ava finds herself frowning just a bit at the prospect of going back home immediately.]

If you don't have to go back right away, it's been a while since I've shown someone new around the village. And maybe if your client has any questions about the village, who better to answer them but someone who's been there?
[Besides, who wants to do paperwork on such a nice day?]
no subject
[Her eyebrows go up. It's not exactly an offer she was expecting. Automatically, her mind tries to think of an excuse for the behavior that isn't massively suspicious. Maybe just good relations between villages?]
Are you sure? I mean, you look like you're really busy...
no subject
[She waves a hand at the papers as if it would make them fly out the window. But no such thing happens.]
Showing you around shouldn't take more than an hour, I think. Less time if we take the rooftops. What do you say?
no subject
[A very tentative and unsure smile crosses over her face.]
I'd like that.
no subject
Yumi! Come here a second! [A young woman pokes her head into the doorway as Kushina throws one of the windows open, letting in the scent of salt air. The exasperated sigh and look on her face show she's probably seen Kushina do this before.]
I'm showing Ava here around the village! If anyone asks for me, I'll be back later. Alright! Let's go!
[Aaaaaaand she climbs up onto the sill and leaps out for the nearest rooftop to wait.]
no subject
[And with that, she hops out.]
[Her leap after Kushina isn't as graceful or lightfooted- being smaller means having to fling your whole body into a jump- but it gets the job done. Sweeping her hair back, she looks up at her.]
So- where first?
aaaaahhh i'm so sorry my notifs are broken /super observant sobbing
[She waves Ava on to follow her as she jumps from one roof to another. In a matter of minutes, she stops in front of a small building: the village academy. A small playground had been constructed on the edge of the grounds. Around the side of the building, a little training area with a row of targets was set up for kunai and shuriken target practice. Which is what the students seemed to be doing at the moment.]
No worries!
Oh, I remember doing that before I graduated... [That brings up a good question, actually, and she looks up at Kushina.] Have you figured out how they're going to graduate?

[Before she can stop herself, Ava freezes up and looks awkward. Social skills are not a huge part of lessons in Kiri academy.]
I'm not really... speaker material, I think. Maybe, next place?
no subject
[She looks around the village, a good part of it still under construction. She waves a finger slowly between different areas before stopping one closer to the academy.]
Oh! We have an archive for my clan's old sealing texts in a part of the library! We can poke our heads in there for a bit. Follow me!
[Without another word, off she goes from one rooftop to the next. But on arrival, she doesn't just stop on the nearest rooftop. She drops down to street level and approaches the building.]
no subject
[But then they're off before she can ask anything, and Ava rushes to keep up. She dusts off her clothes on landing.]
Are you sure it's okay?
no subject
[She opens the front door and waves her in first. The main room is wall to wall shelves. Some are partially empty as new books and scrolls arrive each week. Kushina leads the way to a small reading room where several scrolls in glass cases hang on the wall or on stands around the room. A pair of ninja stand in opposite corners, each with Uzushio's symbol sewn into their sleeves. Both had bright red hair, but their outfits spoke of two different villages. They both gave Kushina a small bow out of respect as she entered.]
Here we are! There's a lot of history in this room. The story of Uzushiogakure's original founding is up on the wall. Stories about the Uzumaki clan are over... Uh... There! [She points to the opposite wall.] Oh! Here they are! I'm really glad they didn't move these, y'know! [She darts over to three cases.]
Each of these scrolls has a different seal. They were created by some of the first Uzumaki. As you can see, they may seem really crude, but they've been perfected over the years. I think this is something your client may be interested in, if they decide to come see for themselves.

[It's a fleeting thought that will bug her at a later date. Right now, she just lets herself go in, still a bit nervous that this is somehow a trap but mostly fascinated by everything on display and stored away. It's tempting to take a closer look. Still, she keeps her hands to herself, fiddling with her fingers. She glances at the two ninjas, recognizing the outfits and committing them to memory, before turning her attention back to Kushina. It almost feels like there's barely enough time to note the placement of everything before she's getting swept up again.]
[It's kind of scary how easy it is to get swept up in Kushina's energy, actually, especially when Ava's never really dealt with anyone like her before.]
[There's a close look at the cases, and Ava gives a nod.]
I think you're right... Do you think it would be alright if I sketched a picture of them? I'm, um, better at drawing then describing things..
no subject
At Ava's request, she cocks her head, thinking hard on it for a good minute or two.]
I don't see the harm of sketching one of them. But if you make something big and scaly come out, you're on your own. [She puts on a super serious mom-lecture face for a few seconds before cracking up.] I'm just kidding! We already checked it and nothing'll happen if you draw it. Promise.
And this time I was the one to lose it WELP
[A bigger look of suspicion has never been seen directed at a scroll before.]
So, you're... 200% sure it won't let out something big and scaly?
[She's just being cautious okay]
it's okay~
[And it's back to smiles as she drops the imitation.] He's got a point though, and I'm glad he does it.
no subject
Yeah, that's really smart. Doing all this reconstruction- something like that is really important, right?
[Ava talks as she starts to draw, quick short movements of the wirst as she takes in everything and stands on her toes for a better look.]
no subject
[The correction comes with a sheepish grin to the guards. And sorry not sorry Ava, but Kushina's gonna watch you draw from one side, trying not to block your light.]
no subject
[It's said absentmindedly while she's standing on the tips of her toes to get a better look.]
